Brief

  • To support the launch of a new hand held vacuum within Comet stores
  • Ensure the FDSUs were set up and sited in a prominent place, to ensure launch success and drive sales
  • Check the FDSUs are fully stocked and merchandised and implement all SELs
  • Carry out full stock check to ensure there is sufficient stock to replenish the FDSU once initial stock has been sold through

Approach

  • All 249 Comet stores were selected for this activity, with the FDSUs being sent direct to store
  • Staff checked the FDSU was available prior to visit to maximise launch success
  • Staff were provided with a letter of authority and non compliance would be reported back to the client the same day where stores were reluctant to site FDSU

Results

  • 93% of stores were successfully merchandised correctly (7% of stores didn’t have the room or the stock to site FDSU)
  • 7% of stores didn’t have sufficient stock to replenish the FSDU, so Beyond The Box staff checked stock and encouraged additional stock requests
